About

In late 2001 I had just taken over the Senior Pastor position at our church. Our congregation being small meant that I needed work on the side to take care of my family. Then in 2003, a dear friend asked me to take over his position at a wedding chapel. Being shy by nature, it took me a few months to get over my nerves, but I soon fell in love with what I was doing! Meeting and interacting with couples from all over the world in one of the biggest moments of their lives was extraordinarily fulfilling. Over the years, I was blessed to get connected with an increasing number of people in this happy industry! Until, by the end of 2019, I was averaging 70-120 weddings a month.

Then Covid hit. It devastated the wedding industry in Hawaii and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to close our church, my wedding business, and uproot from the only home I’ve known (Hawaii) and move to Arizona.

So, I’m getting myself positioned to be a part of Arizona’s amazing culture and wedding industry. I’m new here and have much to discover, but I was constantly learning and growing in Hawaii already. So the journey just continues!

I Love Music!

Back in the mid Eighties, near the beginning of the Rock-and-Roll wave, my mother bought me an electric guitar. For three years I pursued it with a passion. Then I became a devout Christian, got married, got a job, and had a family. And basically since then, music has simply been something I’ve enjoyed doing from time to time as a stress reliever.

About three and a half years ago, to my delight, I was asked to officiate a wedding and also perform a few songs in the ceremony! As more wedding companies in Hawaii heard of the novel idea of an officiant/musician, by the end of 2020, I was regularly being asked to be musician (ukulele and/or guitar) and officiant. What a blast! Just another reason to absolutely love my work!
